Don, Today when we chatted you mentioned how blessed you are to have such great people working for Baltimore H-D. While riding home, I reflected upon our conversation and came to realize that I too am blessed to have you and the entire staff as my friends. They are ALL wonderful and treat me like a King. Service, Sales, Clothing and MVP is just a short list of the areas I have thought of. You are indeed blessed and so are your customers. "Thanks to Jean , I got the Courage to take your Riders Edge Class, the instructors are phenominal Grace and Drew,
after Proudly passing the class on a Wednesday in August ,Thursday morning at 7.30am I was first in line at the MVA to receive my M on my license (at age 52)
the rest of Thursday I spend going to varies non Harley Bike shops looking at new and pre-owned but none felt right.
Friday I came back to your Store HD of Baltimore lost ,confused and no Idea what would be the right Bike for me, of course my first instinct was the smallest, a gleaming Red 883 Sportster , then I met Heidi Harries who took me thru all the beautifull Harleys ,explained every thing and then some ,of things I never thought about like the reach and comfort zone of Handlebars , etc.
I was ready to purchase my 883 ,we did all the Paperwork ,
had to wait a couple of minutes to put everything in the computer, so being me ,cant sit still, I walked around the Store again and spotted a Dream a pre-owned low miliage white 1200 Sportster low (I am on the short side), fell in love sat on it ,it had all the extras I wanted, from Saddlebags to Winshield and of course crashbars ,oops sorry,
engine guards, I fast paced it back to Heidi who was already entering my Info , and giggled when I told her "hold it" she was very exited for me and changed all the info in no time with a big smile and happieness for me.
I got my insurance right then and there ,my bike was rolled up to her office and proudly, I placed my Sold Sign on "Grace" yes I named my bike after my instructor ,with out her help ,patients and knowledge I would have lost my courage that I can have my Dream to ride.
My Bike was Delievered to my Home by Dave who took the time to show me all the important stuff (like were to check the Oil) lol, and he did not leave until he felt confident that I was OK with everything. I am still learning everytime I Ride but we learn everyday in Life. Thank you all so very much.Ride safe.

"I own a 2007 electra glide classic, that i had bult up to a 124 cubic inch when it had 4000 miles on it. the day after the work was done, my girl and i went to Colorado and back. Great experence with no problems. Now for what i really wanted to comment on . I also owned a 2006 sporster low custom. I went to Baltimore Harley to buy a quart of oil and saw the 2012 sporster forty eight. I traded in the 2006 sporster and got good trade in value. I was able to finance the balance on the forty eight. Not bad for a guy on unemployment. Thank you Ken Mason Harley salesman."

"I just wanted to express appreciation to the service department for helping me out today, so tell them "thanks". I knew my battery was getting too old and even though I had a charger on it all winter, the bike hadn't been started for a couple of months. Today, it just struggled to turn over and wouldn't start. I was ready to replace the battery myself, but with the help of some starter fluid (yeah I know I shouldn't) it did fire even with minimal juice. Service was backed up, but when I said all I needed was a battery, they took me right away and in 45 minutes I was back out on the road. Much thanks."

"I recently put my Harley in for servicing and had gone out of town for some personal reasons. Ross at service told me he could keep it there till I got in. Unfortunately due to unforeseen reasons my return got delayed by a few weeks. I sent a message to Ross through a HOG chapter friend that I would be later that said to pick up my bike. I also told that I would be uncertain as to when I would be back. The reply I got back was amazing "Dont worry we will take care if it till you get back". My friend add that I should look at it as a great vacation for my Harley with all the tender love and care it will receive. I got in this week and called Ross who told me I could pick it up whenever I want and that she was all ready. I picked it up yesterday. I was amazed at how well they had kept my Harley for me. It was a pleasure to see that she was pampered beyond my imagination. I got it back in immaculate sparkling condition, with out of a speck of dust. The engine parts were jet back like new. I am thoroughly impressed and amazed at how well they had kept it for me. Just amazing as an experience. I have been coming here to this dealership for a year and a half or two and every time it just gets better. It is like old wine just gets better with time. I thank Ross, all the people at the service dept who were behind the care of my Harley and everybody at the dealership for this amazing Harley experience. You just have yourselfs a customer for life. Looking forward to get my next harley from here. Hopefully sooner than I think:-))"

"I just purchased a 2011 Heritage Soft Tail Classic and love it. I drove the bike home then around my neighborhood and it unfortunately broke down. I called Bob (Sales) and advised him of the situation and he was right out with the trailer to pick it up and he even gave me a ride home. The next day he was in contact with me to let me know exactly what was going on with it. He called me today and said that it was ready for pick up and that the problem was a defective part and it was fixed . From the moment I started the purchase process everyone exceeded my expectations. I even think Bob was more excited for me than I was and I was and still am very excited. Jerry was wonderful and Jean was just as wonderful with answering our questions regarding financing. I did not feel pressured with the sale and no one was pushy. HD of Baltimore is the BEST. If you are considering buying a new bike and you do not go to HD of Baltimore you are making a big mistake. This is the only HD store for me. I can't thank everyone enough for EVERYTHING!!! "Shane and the entire service department deserve my total thanks and appreciation!!!!!!!
I purchased V&H mufflers, stage 1 kit and race tuner and Dyno tune from [another service center].
From the moment I rode away i was dissatisfied with the sluggish performance, backfiring and very poor fuel ecconomy. During three trips back to the [other service center] I was told nothing was wrong, just get used to the back firing, keep the rpm's up and it will run better and you have more HP & torque so the lower fuel milage is normal.
The bike was not running correctly and no one in the [other service center] was too concerned about it so I began to talk with more experienced riders, other dealers including the dealer in NJ where I purchased the bike, while living there, and your folks at Harley-Davidson of Baltimore.
What I learned was you can't dyno a bike in 1 hour which is what I was told had been done. The milage should be around the same as before the pipes were added if it was tuned properly. In general everyone I spoke with quickly stated something was not correct. After one more visit to the [other service center] where I was told nothing was wrong but, bring it back they could lean it out and get me a couple of MPG as they ahad done a few others. I decided I needed to do something different. I had lost what little confidence I had in their ability or willingness to fix the problem
After speaking with Shane and explaining my situation I decided to have Harley-Davidson of Baltimore take a look and see what ws going on.
What they found was the air fuel mixture and spark points were the same throughout all rpm bands and gears. The supposed download which I was told contained a control map did nothing except pump fuel into the bike causing sluggish performance, back firing, sputtering and poor fuel ecconomy until I reached around more rpm.
Shane and his mechanic explained they felt improvements could be made so I paid for them to dyno the bike which took 8 hours. Something I would have gladly done when the pipes were installed if I had been told the bike needed that. I was told I received a download and 1 hour dyno.
The bike now runs exceptionally well. Power in all gears, you can feel the engine working at low or high RPM, no backfiring, no sluggish performance at stop lights and in traffic excellerating though 1st ,2nd and 3rd gear PLUS a 25% increase in fuel ecconomy back to where it was before the work was done.Topping all this off was the dyno report showed the same HP & Torque. NO, zero, nada, not one bit of loss in HP & Torque just better performance and fuel effeciency.
I called the other [service center] to advise them what I had done and the result. The service manager first told me it was a result of having the bike tuned in December, then it was they did not respond aggressivly to my complaints because the service writers were over worked and tired of hearing the same questions and problems, finally I was told they used a general map and fine tuned it for my bike and that is why it only took an hour to dyno. He felt the only thing they did wrong was not react aggressivly enough. In the end he asked me what I wanted. I aksed him what he felt was fair to which he responded "I would give you a store gift card for the labor money but your not coming back anyway..." HE was SOOOOO right.
The professionalism and expertise Shane and his people demonstrated is unmatched. Never once did they say anything negetive about the other [service center's] performance or capabilities They just addressed what they could do and how it would work and then did it.
I will never go to another dealer [] as long a I have the bike or live here.

"I'm not telling anyone here something they don't already know, this dealership is the best. From the moment I came through the doors to buy my 2005 Nighttrain to all the extras I had the service department install, I know that the professionalism of everyone involved was first class. I can not say enough about Shane and Lee in the service department. Shane has worked with me on everything I have had done to my bike. When the time came to pick components out for the big bore kit, Shane had great suggestions on what would give me maximum power and reliability. Every time I fire my 103/104 95 big bore up I am in all with the workmanship and quality of work they have done. From dropping the bike off for a simple oil change or having them check a noise for me I am treated like I am the most important customer they have. My latest experience was this week when I thought I had a motor noise and without an appointment they got the bike in and looked at, it turned out to be a simple repair and had me back out quickly. "H.D. of Baltimore was AWESOME! They have the best customer service in every department. I spoke with Ed Schmidt on the phone prior to going into the store. I asked him a few questions and he told me what I needed to bring in, give me his number if I had anymore questions and told me to come in anytime that worked for me. Ed was instrumental in my purchasing my 2010 H.D. Dyan Wide Glide. Ed's customer service skills were exceptional and he truly cared about how I felt about the bike I was going to purchase. Ed made it very clear that he was there to assist me in finding the right bike. I could take all the time I needed, see as many bikes as I wanted and ask all the questions I wanted and he would help me. He did just what he promised! Not only did I find the perfect bike for myself, but I found a GREAT sales consultant and a new friend. What a class act you are Ed. And I might add you are pretty dang hilarious and kept me well entertained. I would also like to say Jeff in finance, Derek in Parts & Acc., Rebekah in clothing and Jerry were just awesome to work with as well. Didn't work with Kelly but he was awesome too. I also want to add that Heidi took the time to walk out into the parking lot and talk to me about my bike and gave me some great pointers about my first ride on this new bike. "Just wanted you to know how happy I am with your service on my 03 LowRider last week. Replacement of the stator and fixing the horn was all I expected to receive, however, when I rode the bike after picking it up, not only was the work done as expected, but the cables were lubed and the bike was washed. I should say it was detailed because my rear wheel was so dirty when I brought it in....but it looks fine now.
Thanks for "the little things" that make it a better experience.
All this and 20% off winter special makes it a great experience!

I took the RIdersEdge class this past week with Debby being my instructor and I can't say enough good things about the class and Debby herself. She was awesome! I had NEVER been on a motorcycle a day in my life and she made it so easy to learn and she was patient yet firm when she had to be. "I bought my 05 Sporty from you and over the last 5 years you have done all the service on it and my recent 08 Cross Bones, never a bad experience in five years.
A recent example was this week I called about a minor recall on my Bones and spoke to Ross, he said he would check on the part, he called back two minutes later and said they had two, one with my name on it, just bring it in and we will take care of it. Took it in Friday and as usual with fast track it was done the same day.
Keep up the great work, see you for my 10,000 service.

"I bought a 2005 Sportster in Virgina and brought it in for the MD State Inspection. Smitty, the service manager, said allow 3 days-no problem. He called me the next day and said it was ready. I couldn't believe it. I wasn't ready to get it -ha! Bryan Wilson, the service technican, recommended a carburator adjustment because it looked as if it hadn't been touched. Bryan was right on target. I noticed the difference as soon as I rode away from the shop. These guys are the best. #1 in my book. Made me feel like I owned a Road King :)

"My wife and I went to the Harley Store to buy a motorcycle battery for my 2004 Ultra. I saw a 2009 Ultra on the floor, fell in love with it and bought it. Maria was my sales person and Jerry appraised my trade it. Now I know why I have been going to this dealship for the past 20 years. When other dealers were jacking up the cost of a new bike by as much as $4,000 The Harley Store kept their prices at MSRP. There is a dealer ship which is very close to my house, almost within walking distance but I drive 45 minutes to the Harley Store because I know I can trust the sales, service, and parts people and I know when times get good again The Harley Store won't try to take advantage of me. I don't endorse anyone or anything but I will tell you that I am very satisfied with the Harley Store and they do have my endorsement."

They were both very patient and did an excellent job answering questions. We were able to agree on a price at the Timonium show. I picked up my new bike a few days later. Bob called a few times after I took delivery to make sure everything was ok. I have been to the dealership a few times on my new Ultra, and they ask how I am enjoying it. "Don, I just wanted to let you know about my Experience for service on my bike. When I arrived at around 8:15am I was met out side by Frank to write up what I wanted to have done and also to recommend other services to be performed for the mileage on the bike. While inside at the service desk he asked if i had ever worn electric gloves before (had them install wiring harness for them) then went into detail about jacket, pants and controls for them. He could be a good salesman. When I went outside Smitty was outside and greeted me and he also went over the benefits of the 5000 mile service that Frank told me I should have, and told me other things to keep an eye on. While sitting outside for a couple of hours waiting I was greeted by Ed, Chick and several girls from the clothing store, the maintenance man, the cleaning lady all offered me coffee and small talk (like 6 cups of coffee was not enough) No one knew that I was coming in and that we know each other except Shane, he walked over to introduce himself as well. Seth worked on the bike when he was done and parked I asked him a question about the bike and he spent about 5 minutes going through what he had one. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!!

 Dear Harley-Davidson of Baltimore,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the "Ride to Remember" event. you did an excellent job in staging and facilitating the event with such Honor and Respect for our Fallen Heroes. It was a privelage to attend and an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I chose "Christine Snyder from FLight 93 to ride with me that day, to honor and remember her for her self sacrifice. I did not know Christine but she has become a friend I never knew, but will never forget. It was my first event ride, as I just received my license this August thru your Rider's Edge class. I was the last one to leave your lot and had trouble keeping up with the group, but I did not mind, I rode in my comfort zone, I was alone, the last bike, but I finished and I will never forget.
