Harley® Forty-Eight® Reviews
The Forty-Eight® is one of the best looking cruiser motorcycles on the market. The lines are reminiscent of old school bobbers and let's be honest, even parked it looks like it's ready to kick some ass.

The 2018 Harley-Davidson® Iron 1200 has mid-mounted pegs and a headlight cowl, among many other differences to the new Forty-Eight® Special. It never ceases to amaze me how closed-minded some people can be. Post anything relating to Harley-Davidson® on social media and you'll be faced with a barrage of derogatory comments; "Hardly Movingson", "They all look the same", "They don't go around corners..." I could go on. I guess the haters are indeed going to hate.

The Forty-Eight® Special receives a '70s style custom paint job on the peanut tank which helps emphasise that enormous 1202cc Evolution V-twin, with the Tallboy 'bars perhaps the most instantly noticeable feature. These give the bike a totally different stance, and complement the nine-split-spoke cast aluminium wheels clad in super-beefy rubber on the front.

Harley-Davidson® adds to its Sportster footprint and moves the progress bar on its "50-new-models" goal with the 'Seventies-tastic' Forty-Eight® Special. Like the base model Forty-Eight®, it rolls with numerous custom touches that tie it directly to a specific era, just of a more-recent vintage. Blackout components and chrome accents mix freely across the machine with the same 1200 cc, 73 pound-feet Sportster engine that drives the base model. It all in the details, though, and it's the details that separates it from its predecessor.

About the Harley® Forty-Eight®
The Forty-Eight® motorcycle. Designed with its signature bulldog stance and the powerful 1200cc Evolution® engine. Large 49mm front forks, an adjustable rear suspension, cast aluminum wheels with floating rotors and powerful brakes bring plenty of handling and comfort to this heavy-hitting style.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Harley-Davidson® Forty-Eight® good choice for beginners?
As a first bike for a beginner 1200 can be a little too big, however the Forty-Eight® is pretty nice and low step so you most likely will be good. It's better to test it around the neighborhood till the time you will really feel it's a proper one.
Are there some offers available for The Forty-Eight® Special?
The brand itself administers some offers and markdowns which differ and depends on the city you are in, which brand and model you are willing to buy. Besides, you might come across to a winning deal offered by the dealers sometimes.
What type of tires does the Harley-Davidson® Forty-Eight® have?
It has has Tubeless tires.
Is Harley® good in a role of a first bike?
The older model of Harley-Davidson® would serve as a great first bike, like mine or another. I would certainly recommend to take a look at the Harley-Davidson® Dyna or Softail® instead of picking a sporty only because it's lower price. Harley-Davidson® is not the only alternative though.

Thanks Justin !I was searching for this color combination and a leftover, as HD didn’t put out a standard road king this year.HD of Baltimore had one.You can see it looks much better in my garage, than at the dealer.Painless transaction. Had the shop do the stage 1 and TAB exhaust before I took delivery of the motorcycle.Very happy with everything. Thanks everyone !

I took the Riding Academy course this Monday. In my opinion this course is a must for anyone that has no experience or has not ridden a motorcycle in a few years, in my case it has been 30 years. The classroom part of the course was both entertaining and informational. This was because the instructor, Debby, made it fun and helped everyone in the class to understand the material. Debby was so nice, friendly and respectful which made it, I felt, easy to learn and understand the material. She was so willing to go the extra mile, that she stayed after class to help me and two other students to get a better understanding of the concepts of riding a motorcycle safely. On the next two days at the range, I learned and became more confident and knowledgeable in riding motorcycle safely and had fun doing it. I felt that Debby wanted all the students to learn, have fun and be safe. I could see that she has a passion for teaching, which helped me, and I know from talking to others, learn the lessons easily and safely. Her instructions and her riding demonstrations helped me and others to grasp the concepts for each lesson.I was glad that I took this course and that she was my instructor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants to learn to ride a motorcycle.
