Street Glide®
The first Street Glide® ever made was the 1985 MY Harley-Davidson® FLHX Street Glide®, and it was a different motorcycle back then as it was more a full-dress bagger. But after the turn of the century, Harley-Davidson® began to strip the model down in response to what was going on in the custom bagger scene. It’s hard to argue with the decision in retrospect as the Street Glide® has been a one of the most popular models in the lineup since and a great choice for riders who want a versatile hot-rod bagger.
Steet Glide® vs Road Glide®
The Street Glide® and Road Glide® are very similar motorcycles in a lot of ways, and many riders in and near Laurel Columbia Frederick Bel Air consider them counterparts. The main difference is that the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® in Baltimore has a fork-mounted fairing, or what’s often referred to as the batwing, and the Road Glide® has a frame-mounted fairing, or what’s often referred to as the sharknose.

The Street Glide® ST is the newest addition to the Street Glide® family having been just introduced this model year. The bike is similar to the Special in many ways but has more of sport profile and has the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine, which is currently the most powerful H-D® touring engine.
Ride Characteristics

The Street Glide® has an infotainment system and offers rider safety enhancements as an option. It has a passenger seat, floorboards and saddlebags but does not have a Tour-Pak or backrests.
Performance
The 2022 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® in Baltimore has the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 engine. This delivers ample performance for the typical rider purchasing a Street Glide®. If you want more output, you have several options. You can invest in a Screamin’ Eagle engine upgrade, which will increase performance comparable to the 114. You could opt for the Special, which has the 114, or the ST, which has the 117.
Customization
