When the van came to my house to take my Fat Boy® back to Harley-Davidson®, I was very sad. I ask myself if I need a Fat Boy®? The answer is No. But Do I still want a Fat Boy® in my Garage? Hell yes. I want one. The bike is something that everyone wants and Harley-Davidson® can surely brag about its creation on this. It's a Crowd puller, loud, brash and imposing. I spent some time with a Fat Boy® and I know why this bike is in constant production since 1990. As the world is going towards zero emissions, lean-burn engines, three-digit fuel consumption and hybrid technology, the Fat Boy® is the only thing that can provide you with the pure old school riding experience.

For the last 4 years, I was riding a MT 09 sports bike. Riding a Harley-Davidson® is always my dream and I got a chance to ride one thanks to my friend Dyna and yes, I loved that ride. I was looking for different models of Harley® for 9 months but the Fat Boy® keeps attracting me towards it and I bought the Fat Boy® even without a test ride. The bike is second to none and provides very comfortable riding experience even though I am now 55 years old and not as elastic as I used to be when I was young. The torque these 114's have is brilliant, right through the gear range. I am in love with the Fat Arse look and the big rear 240 mm tyre. I was riding from Brisbane to Harvey Bay and I got into torrential rain and I kept driving for three and a half hours without even slowing down. This thing blew me away with its more than 300 kilos and the big rear tyre on solid metal rims. The bike is very well balanced and turning on the corners is not a problem for me anymore as I get used to it. The bike is a monster with a lot of power, good looks, handling and comfortable riding experience.

When you look at the bike the only thing you can do is give a broad smile. Riding this bike is very amusing. The steering is hefty, straight-lined yet tolerable. The bike needs considerable effort and thought process while going through tight corners. Summing up everything about Fat boy® I will say that it has a unique pose and massive grin.

The base platform of Fat Boy® 2020 114 is similar to its predecessors. Harley-Davidson® celebrated its 30th anniversary by introducing the limited edition blacked-out model in the middle of 2020. Harley-Davidson®`s Softail line-up got some major updates in engine model lines, braking packages and chassis in 2018 and the Fat boy® also get its chunk from these updates. But due to its low lean angle, the bike lacks the cornering ability. The bike is still an iconic design due to its big front end and solid rims and unarguably this bike is recognisable due to all of these features even in the sea of other bikes.
