Meet the Road Glide®
The Road Glide® is the counterpart to the also very popular Street Glide, and the main difference between the models is that the Road Glide® has the frame-mounted or sharknose fairing whereas the Street Glide has the fork-mounted or batwing fairing. The Glides have the big and heavy bodies that you expert from a modern tourer, but they really don’t feel like that once you get them moving, and that is a big part of the success. What’s New for 2022
The only major mechanical update is one made across the Grand American Touring family, which is the addition of standard Reflex linked Brembo brakes with ABS. There are also new color options. Vivid Black remains the standard color, but you can now choose Reef Blue or White Sand Pearl. Harley-Davidson® has also introduced the Street Glide ST. It has more of a West Coast custom aesthetic, and it’s powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 117, which is currently the brand’s most powerful engine for touring bikes.
Road Glide® Ride Characteristics
The most notable characteristic of the Road Glide® is the frame-mounted fairing.
